About the Role
We are seeking a talented System Testing Analyst with knowledge of Windows, Java, WebSphere and other middleware platforms and ServiceNow Automated Test Framework experience for a contract to hire role with our client in Columbia, SC.
US Citizen Work Status Required, W2 Contract Assignment, No Corp to Corp
Hybrid role requiring 3 days onsite at office in Columbia SC. Candidates must be local or within a commutable distance to Columbia SC.
Description
What you will do in this role:
The position holds a critical role in the application development process; testing new or modified applications to make sure they will work in the client’s operating environment.
Provide service for multiple clients, including onsite service where needed. Make recommendations to clients on how to improve testing activities. Track quality assurance metrics.
Perform application testing analysis and lead activities that may include leading the development of test plans, cases, scenarios, and matrices, attending sessions with customers, planning and disbursing projects to team members, completing reports and developing processes.
Create test cases, execute testing, and document results. Define and analyze quality assurance metrics such as defects, defect counts, test results, and test status. Lead process improvement initiatives related to testing methodologies and techniques. Make recommendations to clients on how to improve operational workflows.
Provide service for multiple clients, which may include onsite service where needed. Facilitate and lead meetings with customers to understand and resolve technical issues. Mentor and provide guidance to testing staff.
Requirements
Skills/Experience:
Excellent project planning, organization, and management skills. Thorough understanding of data processing terminology, operations, and architecture utilized in debugging application/environmental problems. Thorough understanding of systems migration processes. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Skill in testing data creation and manipulation. Ability to understand functional connections between applications. Ability to utilize test requirements, specifications, diagrams, logic functions, etc. Education/Experience required:
Bachelors or Associates Degree in Computer Science, or additional years of working experience.
9 years of IT experience to include experience developing test plans and/or test matrices.
Knowledge of JAVA, WebSphere, Windows, and other middleware platforms.
Knowledge of DB2, SQL, Oracle, IMS, and VSAM.
Skill in Whitebox testing, integration testing
Experience with ServiceNow Automated Test Framework (ATF).
Nice to Have Skills:
Selenium - Puppeteer - Appium
Experience testing Web applications.
