About the Role
Our client is seeking to hire a UI designer with Figma UI tool experience and an understanding of JavaScript based applications for a long term contract assignment in Columbia SC! In this role, you will work with project teams to enhance or build UI interface applications for the client, working closely with the customer to understand the business needs and collaborating with the development teams to create a power user experience for business partners.
Role is hybrid - 3 days onsite, 2 days remote. Candidate can expect to be onsite for training.
Authorized US Worker- No C2C , Direct hire W2 hourly contract.
Description
What you will do in this role:
Design and develop the front end experience and workflow for the users.
Work with project teams to enhance or build UI interface applications for business.
Seek to understand the business needs along with IS development goals for the future. Work closely with customer to receive feedback on the applications being built as well as collaborating with the development teams.
Ask clarifying questions, provide recommended approaches and leverage experience. Integrate the look and feel between two applications that are tightly coupled but separate.

Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Behavioral Research, Computer Science, Information Technology or other job related degree or additional years of job related work experience
2 years user interface design experience.
Solid experience of Figma UI design tool, understanding of JavaScript-based applications
Nice to Have: JavaScript development experience, Nodes.js and Vue.js development. This is a bonus if the candidate has these capabilities.
